The Firm
Lex 100 Survey 2007/2008 and 2008/2009
Kendall Freeman traditionally performs extremely well in our trainee survey and this year is no exception. A Lex 100 Winner in three categories (job satisfaction, quality of work, and vacation scheme), it is praised by trainees for its "challenging high-quality work", the "approachability and sense of humour of everyone at the firm" and the "friendly and easy going, but still hard-working and professional environment". "Due to its size, trainees are fulfilling a meaningful role from day one".
For hands-on training experience in a medium-sized firm (particularly if you're keen on litigation), Kendall Freeman is an excellent choice.
2007/2008
"EAPD takes training very seriously," comments one trainee, "it is continuous and interactive with a lot of "training by doing". Trainees here are full of praise for the high-quality work, the great work/life balance ("I have an absorbing, busy job but somehow I can fit in a full life outside of work") and the friendly, positive people. They like the size, which means that everyone "from support staff to senior partners knows everyone else- by face, name and background". There is no hierarchy and all doors are open, giving the place a relaxed feel. Pastoral care is important here, and trainees are encouraged to feel part of every aspect of the firm, including marketing and practice development activities. "Partners are very happy to hear our ideas and contributions – there's a lot of respect within the firm". No surprises then that EAPD is a Lex 100 Winner in an impressive four categories – quality of work, low stress levels, work/life balance and vacation scheme.
