International Law
We act for Governments seeking to trace, freeze and recover misappropriated public funds and bribes from dishonest public officials, their companies, trusts and associates, and advise on the complex political, practical and legal issues that arise.

The firm has a team dedicated to public international law. There are very few firms that practise in this field, especially in relation to international boundaries.

The team provides governments and other clients with legal representation, advice, assistance and research. It conducts the preparation and presentation of evidence in all matters, with particular emphasis on land and maritime boundary work, energy related issues, the law of the sea, and the marine environment and resources.

"Although legal disputes between nation states are generally few and far between, I soon learnt that the firm's high reputation in international law meant the practice group was always busy. Fee-earners were in demand by governments and energy companies requesting advice on land and maritime territorial issues, assistance was given to think tanks and we also often worked alongside NGOs regarding anti-corruption matters. As a trainee, I could go from investigating the colonial history of an island in Africa to providing updates on the latest political situation in South America."
