Outside office hours
Before you start
As soon as you accept a training contract with us, we view you as part of the firm. Even though you are not yet physically in our offices, it is important that you feel included in what the firm is doing and we will keep in frequent contact with you to keep you up-to-date. You will also be invited to social events which are organised throughout the year, to ensure you meet and get to know as many of your future colleagues as possible, before you start your career with us.

After hours
For those that enjoy the more physically demanding pursuits, we offer subsidised gym membership and there is also our heroic football team who play in the Lawyer league. We have enjoyed squash and tennis evenings, running events, a 'world-cup' style football tournament (Trainee Days Autumn 2009) and a variety of other activities this year.

If a drink after work is more your thing, you won't be alone. There are a number of regular venues that are frequented by trainees, associates and partners alike only a stones throw from the office.

The firm also has an active social committee organising firm-wide events, from parties to outings and the occasional trip away, (eg skiing in 2006).

We recognise the importance of your life outside work and how the activities you pursue help to make you an individual.

"The firm made a real effort to stay in touch with me whilst I was waiting for my training contract to begin. I always felt there was someone there to answer questions, however small. From the outset we were invited to drinks, parties and events. By the time we arrived on our first day not only did we know our fellow trainees quite well, we had also met a fair few members of the firm."
